This amazing ranch in western Colorado located on the beautiful norther slopes of the Grand Mesa near Colbran, CO., 2 hours from Aspen, Vale or Telluride.  Grove Creek Ranch is an approximate 1720-acre ranch that lends itself to a working cattle ranch, dude ranch, resort ranch, fly fishing or hunting property, or a corporate getaway.  It covers all or parts of Sections 19, 20, 21, 28, and 29 in Township 10 South, Range 94 West of the 6th P.M..  Including 1/2 of the mineral rights on approximately 1,100-acres of the ranch. 

The Ranch is presently divided into 40 parcels (aliquot descriptions of 40-acres for the majority of the parcels).  The property has a 400-acre conservation easement held by the Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust.  Grove Creek Ranch is surrounded along the southern and eastern boundaries by Forest Service Lands (approx. 2-miles of boundary.  There are 11 parcels that abut Forest Service Land with one 40-acre parcel surrounded by Forest Service Land.   The YT Ranch abuts the north boundary of Grove Creek Ranch.

Three main drainages have streams.  Two of the streams are intermittent and run through the Spring runoff and most of the Summer.  Grove Creek is the largest drainage and is a year-round stream.  Grove Creek Ranch has approximately 15 cfs of water rights that are from Grove Creek and naturally occurring springs at different elevations throughout the ranch.  The main ponds by the Moose Saloon cabin are fed from Grove Creek.  The water is taken from Grove Creek, approximately 2-CFS, and returned to Grove Creek after it has run though the ponds.

The property is home to many animal species.  It is a main Elk and Deer migration route.  There are Black and Brown Bear on the property.  The other animals that live within the boundaries and the Forest Service Lands are Bobcat, Turkey, Falcons, Coyote, and Rabbit to name a few.

Vegetation is varied throughout the ranch.  Oak Brush covers the lower third of the ranch with Aspens intermingled with Pine trees covering the middle third and then mainly Pine trees covering the upper third of the property.  Elevation of the property ranges from approximately 7100 feet to 9200 feet.  There are hay and alfalfa fields on the property that produce approximately 5000-plus bales of hay per year.  Approximately 8 miles of roads are cut throughout the property. 

Structures on the property consist of 4 main residential structures, 2 cabins, one studio (large house without a kitchen), and six barns/shops.
