Kinbasket Goats
This territory has a strong quota of mountain goat, as well as a great cross-section of other game; your hardest decision will be figuring out what you should guide and when you should guide it. Not only do you have some of the higher valued species, such as mountain goat, moose, and elk, but you also have all of the other critters that round out a great year of guiding. Sounds like an opportunity to make yourself a good living and have some fun doing it. Keep in mind, goats are the last mountain species that is still affordable to the average Joe. The prices on these animals is increasing, if you want to get into a mountain territory with the game to go along with it, this is most definitely your opportunity.
This is not only a great territory, but it’s also a super place to live and work out of. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Golden is a real gem of a community and has all the amenities that you, your clients and your family may wish for.
Along with this territory is a camp set about 40 kms north of Golden just off of Kinbasket Lake and accessed via road. Camp has all of the amenities that you’ll need to keep you and your clients happy and from this location you can easily hit much of the territory, and along with that, the cross-section of game you’re chasing. There is also an outpost cabin in the mountains providing you a jumping off point for your goat hunting.
There’s also some super ways to fill in those days while you’re not chasing critters; lots of things to do for clients, whether they’re on a day off or whether you book them in for, say, a fishing and hiking adventure in the Rockies. Those fun seeking adventurers are starting to gain traction on the price scale. Kinbasket Lake, well, the opportunities abound with this great backdrop and picturesque country.
OK so let’s get to it: a really great place to live and work in and around Golden, we’ve got a great cross-section of game, which translates into high gross revenues with good profitability, there are many other ways to make money in the outdoor business when you’re not chasing animals, and you have a camp to work out of that’s located in the territory at a great location. All you need now is a couple of clients and away you go!
Don’t take it from me, take a ride around the territory and fall in love; those mountain vistas tend to pull you in!
