Nordic Lodge on Reindeer Lake
Listing Realtor
Nordic Lodge is situated on 2.4 acres of deeded land near Southend, along the South shore of the infamous Reindeer Lake! This is a drive-in lodge which provides ease of access without sacrificing the backcountry experience or fishing. Nordic includes 12 well-appointed cabins, as well as a lodge for your guests to enjoy the beautiful setting. Comforts of home are not left behind with full bathrooms and kitchens in most cabins. You will experience a traditional fishing experience coupled with comfort here at Nordic.
This lodge is well set up and profitable in their current operation, however, with so much going for it you could expand in many directions. Being accessible via road is a big advantage, as well as having on grid power. Many other lodges have high transportation expenses through having to fly or boat their guests in, not to mention the added logistics of this kind of travel and managing off-grid power. Since Nordic has road access, guests also have the option of a self-catered trip, although many choose to have Nordic take care of everything for them, however, being able to provide this more affordable option to guests can be advantageous.
Reindeer Lake is known for its world class fishing and provides such a vast fishery with many varied waters. A short boat ride from the lodge you will find Deep Bay which is one of Nordic’s prime Lake Trout holes; a body of water that remains cold long after the heat has driven trout down to unreachable depths in other parts of the lake. Deep Bay is actually one of the world’s largest ancient meteorite craters and runs more than 210 meters deep and 9.5 kms across!
Reindeer Lake has also been designated as a Class 1 Catch and Release Lake: in fact, the largest in Saskatchewan. This will ensure that the superb fishing you enjoy today will also be enjoyed for future generations to come. In addition to this, Nordic also has Outfitting rights and access to nearby Marchand Lake, which gives you lots of action for Northern Pike, or Fafard Lake, which is known for its Walleye.
Let’s not stop there! Nordic also has excellent bear hunting! The lodge has 50 bear tags allocated every year, although they choose to only take 32 hunters, which are already pre-sold for the 2025 season. The bear hunting program has been fostered over the years and is well set-up utilizing a wall tent camp with many options for hunting: from the water or utilizing stands or ground blinds. Big boars, including colour phase bears, are found here and as a bonus the clients love being able to do some world-class fishing while on their bear hunt. What a combo!
Nordic is a well-rounded lodge with good roots: drive-in location, world-class fishery, excellent bear, and substantial infrastructure and equipment. All of this, wrapped into a successful on-going operation, awaiting the new owner to step in. Why not you?!
