Okanagan Trapline

Close to home!  This trapline is so close to home that you can go and check the line in the evening after work if you so please.  It’s within a short drive of Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon and Lumby.  It encompasses many great fishing lakes: Haddo, Aberdeen, Grizzly, Aileen, Flyfish, Doreen, Specs, Loon and Ideal Lake and this isn’t even all of them!  Lots of fantastic places to build a trapline cabin and enjoy the trapping, hunting, fishing, and other recreational activities.

This line is heavy into marten and lynx, not to mention the other fur bearers.  In this region you can take 2 black bear on your trapline.  There are no cabins in place currently, although this will allow you to apply for a cabin where you like. The trapline is large enough that you may even apply for 2 cabin sites. 

At present, the owner has an arrangement in place for trapping of live lynx which provides some added income.  This may be an arrangement which could continue with the new owner if they were so interested.

To sum this offering up, great recreational opportunities for your family while trapping.  A great place to spend time in the summer while maintaining the line and building a cabin.  All of this just minutes away from home, allowing easy access.  Sounds pretty good to me!
