Trapline NW of Burns Lake
Listing Realtor
Here’s a great trapline not too far from Burns Lake and bordering the west side of Decker Lake. Access is good via truck, snowmobile, ATV and boat with a mixed bag of cut blocks and original growth timber. This line has been in the family since the ‘50’s. The current owner trapped it every second year from 1998 to 2018. It has not been trapped since then, so animals should be plentiful. It holds most furbearers from weasel to fisher. It also provides beaver, muskrat, otter and wolf, coyote and good lynx.
There are several small lakes that dot the trapline which affords good access in the winter and great recreational opportunities during the summer months. There is a cabin site on one of the larger lakes, Fisher Lake, which allows the new owner to build a cabin. There is also an old, unregistered cabin that is uninhabitable.
Traps are included to get you started – see the equipment list. Certainly this is a great location with good opportunities for someone wanting to do some trapping close to their home.
