Babine Lake Trapline
Listing Realtor
If you are looking for a trapline that you can walk right into this is it! This trapline is located within an ideal distance from Burns Lake or Ft. St. James. It takes in the eastern side of Babine Lake, as well as the Sutherland River Provincial Park, which of course will never be logged. A Park Use Permit is in place allowing you to trap the Park.
This line holds all fur bearers except bobcat and has been very lightly trapped over the last 5 years. Populations are good and ready to be trapped on a more consistent basis.
There is a great, little cabin with forest service road access close to a good fishing lake. The cabin has been used consistently over the years and is well maintained and well built. It has a wood stove for heat, propane oven/range, queen bed and two sets of bunk beds. There is a comfortable skinning shed on the cabin site, as well as a wood shed and outhouse. The trapline includes all of the equipment and traps to get you started with the exception of rolling stock; a great set-up to let you hit the ground running!
Babine Lake and area is a recreational playground and the cabin provides good opportunity to use as a base in the winter, as well as the off-season for other activities.
